You guys and your Martins....what are you like!
Here is one for you though. I saw Roger McGuinn of the Byrds play an excellent solo acoustic show in London tonight (well last night as it is after midnight here). He was playing a signature Roger McGuinn 7 string guitar - he told us this, I'd never have realised. I didn't even know 7 string guitars existed!! |

That's a guitar that Martin made based on McGuinn's specs. A friend of mine owned one for awhile and raved about the sound. John and Bucky Pizzarelli both play a 7-string guitar, but where McGuinn's guitar just has an octave of one string (like a 12-string guitar), the Pizzarelli version has a low A string in addition to the standard 6 strings. |
