I found this photo of Mr. Don Mclean online tonight. This is the living legend who is still touring and even
recording. Those fortunate enough to see Don in his golden years will surely be in for a treat. I doubt
seriously though that Don will be coming anytime to North Florida, which is where I live, darn it.
So, go see this living legend if he comes touring...

I was playing with the formatting and somehow I blew up this photo of Don Mclean that I found on the internet. Nice photo don't you think. It was for sale on Ebay.

I was wondering what some of you might think of the 2 cd collection of Prime Time, Chain Lightening and Believers. If you don't have this two cd set put out by Edsel just comment on the albums...

It kills me that "I Want Her" didn't come out on "Favorites and Rarities." That song is awesome. Would it be possible for us to start a movement and petition Don to mix what he recorded for "Tapestry" and sell the song as a single on ITunes or as something we can download from don-mclean.com? What do you guys think? For me, Don's incredible catalogue feels incomplete without "I Want Her."

Complete Hits CD from 2007 - anything new on it?

I noticed on CDUniverse what I think is a "new" set, at least on their site, Complete Hits from 2007. Maybe I just never noticed before. Anyone know what the 9 live recordings are? Are they re-treds of Solo & other previously released material? I'm assuming yes since there was never anything mentioned here but just checking. Always interested in material from the old days.

Hi All, nice to be here.... I'm looking for a recording of Don singing Crying completely solo, voice & guitar only. For years I had on video such a performance from early morning breakfast TV here in the UK and it was a superb rendering - my total preference over strings or full band arrangement. If I still had that video I could burn to dvd and rip the audio.... but I don't. Can anyone help me with a pointer toward an audio or any format version of Don performing this song in...

Does anyone know if Don Mclean's version of "Vincent" from 1972 is available on DVD? I really love this song and want to find a way to buy it. I figured that it must be available somewhere because I found it uploaded on You tube but I looked all over the internet and cannot seem to find it. I saw something on Google news that Don was in Washington state a few days back. I don't see any dates posted on this site or Pollstar for 2009 except one in November. I'm on the west coast (northern CA) so hoping I'm not missing anything if he's making a swing down the coast. How can we find out the real schedule if shows that happen aren't posted anywhere?
